Los Blancos have already signed five players in this window, spending more than €300 million (R4.7 billion) on Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo Goes.
However, Real are reportedly also interested in buying Neymar in this window – at least, Perez seemingly is.
The president apparently sees the Brazilian as a perfect player to plug the marketing gap left by the club's all-time record goalscorer Ronaldo when he left for Juventus, according to Sport.

Zidane, meanwhile, is planning his new team around Hazard and young Brazilian starlet Vinicius Junior, leaving hardly any room for another wide player.
In addition, the Frenchman's main transfer target before the window closes is said to be Paul Pogba – a player Perez apparently does not want.
The president wants Neymar as the club's latest "galactico", who can help both on the pitch and also open new commercial avenues off the field.
It remains to be seen who, between Zidane and Perez, will win the high-profile tug-of-war behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the coach having come under pressure after Real lost 7-3 to crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid on the weekend.

Overall, Zidane, who guided Los Blancos to nine trophies – including three successive Uefa Champions League titles – in just two and a half years in his first stint in charge of the club, has won only five of the 14 games he has overseen since his return to the Real's helm.
