Why Real Madrid's Latest Signing Almost Fainted At Unveiling

Militao arrived for his unveiling at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, completing a medical examination before stepping out on to the pitch for the first time and signing his contract.

He later faced the media in Madrid's press box, but had to stop the session as he was feeling dizzy, and even took some sips of water but that did not help ease his obvious discomfort.

Spanish publication AS have since learned that Militao had arrived in Madrid at 6am on Wednesday morning, following a long flight from Brazil.

It has been claimed that a lack of food, his nerves, the heat on the pitch and fatigue following his long trip were the reasons for his dizziness.

Militao, though, was able to answer a few questions before the untimely ending of his unveiling, explaining what he has to offer his new team.

"I am a versatile player who always plays with a love of what he does (for a job)," he said, as quoted by Marca.

"I don't like to lose and I always expect the best from myself. I'm very competitive.

"You can expect a very competitive player who will give his all for this shirt.

"I'm going to play every match like it's my last."
