According to Relevo, Real Madrid are contemplating a managerial change, with Santiago Solari emerging as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian has come under growing scrutiny following a series of disappointing results. Internal discussions reportedly intensified after a heavy defeat to Barcelona in ElClasico, as well as a 3-1 home loss to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
The club's hierarchy, led by president Florentino Perez, is considering Solari as a contingency option should the team suffer further setbacks. It is understood that the board has already approached Solari about stepping in as interim manager.
He was specifically warned on 5 November that he may be required to take charge if the team's form continues to dip, particularly ahead of the match against Osasuna. However, a crucial 4-0 victory at home provided Ancelotti with a temporary reprieve before the international break.
Solari is no stranger to the Santiago Bernabeu dugout, having previously stepped in as interim manager in 2018 after the sacking of Julen Lopetegui.
He guided the team with authority during a challenging period. Currently serving as the club's director of football, Solari also enjoyed a five-year playing career at Madrid.
Despite the mounting pressure, Ancelotti remains resolute in his belief that he can turn the situation around. The calm-headed Italian continues to have faith in his squad and is confident that results will improve.
He maintains the backing of key players and is determined to orchestrate a resurgence, beginning with a victory over Leganes on Sunday, to silence his critics.
