Real Madrid reportedly still want to secure one marquee signing despite spending over €300 million this window already, but they need to get more players off their wage bill first and latest reports claim another of their young stars is now close to a joining a Premier League side.

Los Blancos have been one of the more active sides in this transfer window, with the club signing no fewer than five new players already. The influx of arrivals, such as Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, has seen a number of players pushed down the pecking order, including midfielder Dani Ceballos.
The 22-year old has started just 17 league matches since joining Real Madrid in 2017, and is said to be unhappy with his game time at the Santiago Bernabeu, leading to speculation that he could leave the club ahead of the new campaign.
The increased competition within the squad has made it all the more likely that Ceballos will depart in the coming weeks, and a Premier League club has now emerged as a likely destination for the former Real Betis star.

AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur were both previously linked with a move for Ceballos but, according to AS, Arsenal are now the frontrunners after reaching an understanding with Real over a loan deal.
The Spanish giants are unwilling to part with Ceballos on a permanent deal, which works in favour of Arsenal, who are operating on a limited budget. A loan would represent a financially viable option for the Gunners and afford the player the opportunity to get more minutes under his belt.
Emery is said to have played a key role in facilitating the potential move, with the Spanish manager taking a personal interest in convincing his compatriot to join the club.

Ceballos recently returned from the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, where he helped Spain claim a second consecutive title.
