Real Madrid's Latest Star Almost Faints At Official Unveiling

Real Madrid have unveiled their fifth signing, who recently won the Copa America with Brazil, ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, but the presentation had to be cut short after the new star almost fainted.

Los Blancos have already unveiled their other four signings, namely Eden Hazard, who drew the biggest crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo, while Eder Militao was at the Copa America in Brazil.

The 21-year-old played only 13 minutes at the tournament but lifted his first international trophy with the Selecao after his €50 million (R795 million) move to Los Blancos was confirmed in March.

On Wednesday, Militao was officially unveiled by Real after completing a medical at the club.

"I'm very happy to be at the best club in the world," he said at his unveiling, as quoted by Real's official website.

"Since I was a boy, I wanted to be at the biggest club in the world. Madridistas can be sure I will be my heart and soul for the team.

"Thanks to the president for having me. I hope to make history here. Hala Madrid!"

However, Militao's presentation had to be cut short after he almost fainted when answering questions from the media. AS has reported that Militao first went on to the pitch under the glaring heat and then faced questions from the media inside. However, he was visibly uncomfortable and even tried to loosen his tie, and drinking water did not help before the press conference was abruptly ended.

Militao joined Real from FC Porto after making 47 appearances for the Portuguese club last season.
