One of Real Madrid's most decorated players is seemingly inching closer to a mega-move to China, where he could become the highest-paid player after being deemed surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane has made it clear he wishes to rebuild his squad ahead of next season, and it has become apparent that a number of stars no longer feature in the Frenchman's plans.
At the top of the discard pile is Gareth Bale, who has fallen out of favour at Madrid despite playing a starring role in the club's European successes in recent years.
Bale is understood to have been offered to a host of European clubs, but there appears to be another twist surrounding the Welshman's future, with the latest reports suggesting he could be heading to China.

According to AS, Bale has offers on the table from two Chinese Super League clubs and his agent is actively looking to secure the 30-year-old a move to Asia.
The Spanish publication named Jiangsu Suning and Beijing Guoan as two possible destinations for the Welshman, who was previously linked with Bayern Munich or a return to the Premier League.
Both Chinese clubs are reportedly willing to offer Bale a deal that would make him the highest-paid player in the league, but no agreement has been reached with Real regarding the transfer fee.

The Spanish giants will reportedly look to recover the bulk of the €100.8 million (R1.5 billion) they paid to sign Bale in 2013, which could ultimately prove a stumbling block in the Welshman's potential move to China.
