A Real Madrid star, who has long been linked with Manchester United, has revealed he had a 'verbal' agreement to join the club in 2014.

When David Moyes took over from Sir Alex Ferguson at the Red Devils, a number of players were linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Toni Kroos was one of the many midfielders reportedly on Moyes' list, along with Mesut Ozil and Cesc Fabregas, who both eventually chose Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.
Kroos has now revealed he had an agreement with the club after taking to Moyes four years ago.
