The Spanish giants appear to be determined to build on their unprecedented success after celebrating a 15th UEFA Champions League triumph earlier this month.
After adding Mbappe to their squad, president Florentino Perez and his colleagues have already set their sights on another European talent.
According to Marca, the LALIGA champions are eager to lure Bayer Leverkusen and Germany playmaker Florian Wirtz to Madrid in 2025.
The midfielder has insisted he will still be in Germany come next season, but is rumoured to have already agreed "personal terms" with Los Blancos ahead of next year.
Wirtz, 21, is considered among the best up-and-coming players in the world and will represent his country when they host the 2024 UEFA European Championship over June and July.
The 18-time international contributed to a staggering 38 goals in 49 matches last season for Leverkusen as the club won its maiden Bundesliga title.
