The Spanish transfer window might have closed recently, but it seems that Los Blancos are already preparing for the next one.
The LALIGA and European champions welcomed only two new faces to the Santiago Bernabeu prior to the commencement of the 2024/25 season, with Endrick officially joining from Palmeiras and Kylian Mbappe finally making his long-awaited move to the Spanish capital on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Diario AS, however, Los Merengues already know who they want for next season, and it is 2024 UEFA European Championship Player of the Tournament Rodri.
Real icon Toni Kroos recently called time on his career, and in an apparent effort to off-set that departure, the club has identified the Madrid native as a possible successor to the Germany legend.
Rodri's current deal at the Etihad Stadium only expires in 2027, but having not spent a significant amount of money on transfer fees since their signing of Jude Bellingham, Real appear poised to make a massive offer to sign the former Atletico Madrid man.

The same report claims that Rodri could also be open to making the move to the home of the record European champions as the only competition they anticipate is that of City and the player's willingness to extend his stay with the English giants.
