Having failed to acquire Kylian Mbappe's services during the off-season, reports claim that Real Madrid will go back in for the superstar Frenchman.

Fresh from his exploits at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he managed to grab the competition's Golden Boot, it seems Los Blancos have once again reignited their interest in Mbappe.
The 24-year-old became the first player since Ronaldo Nazario at the 2002 edition to score eight or more goals at the tournament, and like the Brazilian, Florentino Perez reportedly wants to make the Paris native a Madridista.
Los Blancos' pursuit of Ligue 1's top goalscorer this season appeared dead when, after months of courting the young star, Perez and Real were snubbed by Mbappe when he signed an extension with Paris Saint-Germain in May.
The LaLiga champions had multiple bids rejected by PSG, and with his contract at the time set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, it was largely assumed that the France international would ink a deal with the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners, but the 2018 World Cup winner shocked the football fraternity when he signed a two-year extension with Les Parisiens instead.
Perez was not happy and angrily insisted soon afterwards that he did not want Mbappe to don the famous white of Real in future, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spanish giants are now willing to invest €1 billion (R18 billion) in order to get the pacy attacker to the Santiago Bernabeu.
