Having accumulated an illustrious trophy haul during his managerial career so far, the Portuguese tactician is now looking to win more silverware in a new nation after he was appointed as Fenerbahce's manager at the beginning of the season.
The 61-year-old has had a decent start to the campaign, too, as the team is currently undefeated in the Super Lig, sitting in fourth place, and is also yet to taste a loss in the UEFA Europa League.
The Setubal native will want to ensure he wins a trophy in his first season with the Yellow Canaries, and it seems he believes his chances of doing that will increase if they successfully sign Los Blancos starlet Arda Guler.
The youngster had a great 2024 UEFA European Championship with Turkey and was expected to grow in prominence in the Los Merengues squad after an injury-plagued 2023/24 campaign, but that has so far not been the case.
Of the seven matches he has played for the European giants this season, he has only started three, and according to Diario AS, Fenerbahce want to take advantage of the situation by bringing back their former star in a loan deal during the mid-season transfer window.

The same report claims Real may be open to the idea, and if they do not impose strict conditions on the loan, then the Turkish giants will make the move for Guler.
