The Frenchman finally completed his long-awaited move to the Santiago Bernabeu this past off-season, signing from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old is PSG's all-time top goalscorer and did a lot of his goalscoring from the left hand side of the attack. At Real, there is already a superstar playing in that position in the form of Vinicius Junior.
The Brazilian has established himself as a crucial figure within Carlo Ancelotti's setup the past few seasons, finishing as runner-up at the 2024 Ballon d'Or awards.
Benzema has played with both attackers, Vinicius at club level and Mbappe for the national team, and the five-time UEFA Champions League winner has urged his compatriot to acclimatise to playing as striker because there is no better left sided winger in world football than the Sao Goncalo native.
"What can I say to Kylian… He shouldn't give up," the Al-Ittihad forward told El Chiringuito.

"Because I don't think he will move Vinicius, because he is the best in the world at the moment, and he can't be moved, that much is true.
"Mbappe has to get it into his head that he is a nine now, and forget about the left. And he has to move with Vinicius, if Vinicius comes inside, he goes out, and switch a lot.
"Mbappe is very, very, very good from the left, but he has to understand he can be very good in other areas of the pitch."
