With Cristiano Ronaldo having reportedly received a big-money offer from Saudi Arabia, here is the latest on the ex-Manchester United superstar's future.
Ronaldo Finds Next Club After Man Utd Exit?
This week, reports suggested that the 37-year-old has received his first contract proposal since his United departure from Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr.
Should he accept the deal, Ronaldo would reportedly earn €200 million (R3.5 billion) a season in the Middle East, an offer that other clubs around the world are unlikely to be able to match.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the former Real Madrid No. 7 now has his lawyers studying Al Nassr's proposal, although it remains unclear whether or not he will green-light the potential move.
It is believed that Ronaldo's preference would still be to continue in Europe. However, clubs such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will reportedly not be readying contract offers for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Romano states that the Portugal captain has an offer to play in Saudi Arabia until 2025, meaning he would be 40 years old by the time the deal expires.
Bayern Confirm Decision On Free Agent Ronaldo
Ronaldo cut ties with the Red Devils earlier this month following his explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, during which he strongly criticised the club and manager Erik ten Hag.
