Reports: Juventus Have 6-Name Shortlist To Build Around Cristiano Ronaldo

Italian giants Juventus reportedly want to build their team around superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and have six names on their shortlist for the coming transfer window, including two of his former Real Madrid teammates.

The Bianconeri have already wrapped up the Serie A and Supercoppa Italiana titles this season, but were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Ajax Amsterdam's young guns at the quarter-final stage.

Next season, Juve, who have won the last eight Serie A titles in a row, are aiming for their first European trophy since 1996. In order to do achieve this, Massimiliano Allegri and the club's technical team want to add new faces to an ageing squad.

According to Tuttosport, the Italian giants have five midfielders and one defender on their shortlist, with the free transfer of Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey having already been confirmed.

Manchester United's Paul Pogba and Real's Isco are the two headlines names, while James Rodriguez also appears among the targets.

The other two midfielders are Olympique Lyon's Tanguy Ndombele and Paris Saint-Germain's Adrien Rabiot, who could join Juve on a free deal.

Pogba, who could return to the club for a second spell, and Isco will likely be the most expensive options, while Rodriguez's future depends on whether Bayern Munich exercise their purchase option on the player or let him return to Los Blancos.

Ndombele, meanwhile, is being chased by a host of Europe's elite clubs, including both Manchester giants. The sixth name on the list is Ajax Amsterdam's Matthijs de Ligt, who has been heavily linked with FC Barcelona.

Juve apparently see the young Dutchman as an ideal addition for their defence, with Giorgio Chiellini (34) and Leonard Bonucci (32) not getting any younger.
