According to Goal, the 38-year-old suffered a neck injury in his team's 0-0 draw with Persepolis, before being substituted by Portuguese coach Luis Castro.
The forward had earned widespread praise online following the first half, during which he was believed to have told the match official to overturn a penalty his team had been awarded.
His injury, however, will worry his teammates and fans of the Saudi giants ahead of the team's Saudi Pro League clash against rivals Al Hilal on Friday.
Al Riyadiah newspaper has reported that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid sustained a moderate bruise to the neck following an awkward fall.
Al Nassr boss Castro said after the game that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will undergo a recovery process, but it is expected his injury will not rule him out for Friday's big game.
