Despite returning to the first-team fold at United following his recent dropping, the 37-year-old continues to be linked with a move away ahead of the January transfer window.
In recent days, Napoli have been touted as his most likely next destination after clubs such as Chelsea and Bayern Munich decided not to target Ronaldo, but the latest seems to suggest that a switch back to Serie A is unlikely.
Speaking recently about at a possible pursuit of the United No. 7, Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli ruled out any chance of moving for the ex-Real Madrid and Juventus forward.
"Ronaldo in January? We won't sign any player in January," he told DAZN.
"We don't need to change anything in this team. We're doing great and we're not planning any signing, as of today."
Ronaldo attempted to conjure an exit from the 20-time English champions during the off-season, during which he missed the majority of United's pre-season preparations for the 2022/23 campaign, seemingly leading to his lack of starts since Erik ten Hag's arrival in the dugout.

It is that which appears to have caused issues between the experienced forward and the Dutchman, who on Wednesday revealed that Ronaldo would be involved in the Red Devils' UEFA Europa League clash against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday.
