The 25-year-old was officially presented at Los Blancos' sold-out home ground after putting pen to paper on a five-year deal at the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners.
Around 80 000 supporters turned out to see the former Paris Saint-Germain forward in white for the first time, in an event that was attended by ex-Real manager Zinedine Zidane, who had previously welcomed Mbappe to the club's training ground when the forward was just 12 years old.
On the microphone, the Frenchman seemed to pay homage to his idol Ronaldo more than once, particularly when he said "Un, dos, tres, Hala Madrid!" to a rousing reception from the crowd.
Speaking to reporters after the ceremony, Mbappe revealed that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been helpful to him when it comes to advice.
"Ending the presentation with 'Un, dos, tres, Hala Madrid' was a nod to Cristiano Ronaldo," he said, according to Goal.
"He is a friend who has made history at this club. He has always given me advice on the game and on the ability to stay connected to your passion."
