According to Marca, Les Parisiens and the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner are set to hold a crunch meeting regarding the forward's immediate future.
Earlier this month, the Bondy native made it clear he would not be re-signing with the record French champions, once again sparking massive rumours of a potential move to Real Madrid.
The 14-time UEFA Champions League winners have been long-time admirers of the forward and while they missed out on signing him prior to the 2022/23 season, Los Merengues are still keen to snap up the France captain.
It is understood that the talks between PSG and Mbappe's representatives could determine if Real make a move for the prolific attacker now or in 2024, as they had reportedly planned.
Club chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the striker's mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, will be part of the delegations on either side that meet on Friday, and it is believed Les Parisiens will try to tempt the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner with a new two- or three-year contract.
It is said it would be improved terms on his current deal, and should he sign, the same report claims that PSG will then allow him to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of next season, when he would no longer be a free agent.

It is believed the Bondy native wants to stay at the home of the French giants next season because he could earn €120 million (R2.4 billion) in bonuses should he be a PSG player come the end of the window.
However, if the abovementioned meeting concludes and the decision is made that Mbappe be sold, then it provides Los Blancos with the perfect platform to make a sensational bid for their long-time target.
