Argentine star Lionel Messi stole the show on debut for Inter Miami with a stunning late winner for the Major League Soccer side.
Both new signings Messi and Sergio Busquets were named on the bench for the Leagues Cup clash, as Miami looked to forget their dreadful league form.

Miami did take the lead through Robert Thomas on 44 minutes, but were pegged back by Carlos Uriel just after the hour mark.
Inter coach Gerardo Martino made the decision to introduce both Messi and Busquets just before the equaliser, but the former would go on to have the final say of the night.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or netted a winning goal in second-half stoppage time with a superb free-kick to seal a 2-1 win over Cruz Azul.
