The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has been a hit in United States soccer, having helped the club claim its first-ever trophy in the form of the Leagues Cup in August.
Messi has stunned audiences in America since committing to a deal at the club co-owned by David Beckham, but this did not mean he got special treatment from his teammates when it came to his introduction to the group.
Speaking in a recent interview, winger Edison Azcona revealed that the former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona superstar sang a song as part of his initiation, following Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets in doing so.
"He [Messi] sang at a dinner for us on the first trip he had with the team," he told Infobae.
"DeAndre Yedlin and Victor Ulloa were in charge of encouraging him. They were saying that they had to sing and joking.
"First, Jordi went to sing, Sergio also and Leo went last."
The 19-year-old from the Dominican Republic also admitted it has been a dream sharing a dressing room with Messi.

"Since I was little, I have always said that a dream of mine was to play with Messi, and I finally have this opportunity to share a dressing room, train with him and have that experience of being on the same team," he added.
"It is a dream come true."
