Amid a shock report in Brazil that Lionel Messi's marriage is facing a crisis, Cesc Fabregas' wife has hit out at rumours that the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner has cheated on his wife.

This past Friday, Brazilian news outlet Direto Do Miolo claimed the Argentine's marriage with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo is on the rocks.
The outlet alleged the Inter Miami No. 10 had an affair with Argentine journalist Sofia Martinez, the reporter who went viral during the 2022 FIFA World Cup following her impassioned speech Messi in Qatar.
The source they use in the post on X, formerly Twitter, appears to be non-existent, meaning it is likely a false and fabricated story.
Fabregas' wife, Daniella Semaan, has since taken to social media to rubbish the claim, replying to a post: "What publication is this that has no meaning... and has nothing right."
According to the Daily Mail, Semaan is a close friend of the former Barcelona captain's wife, regularly holidaying with the Messi family alongside her husband Fabregas.
The Argentine and Spaniard came through the ranks of the Catalan giants' academy together, before the midfielder joined Arsenal as a teenager in 2003.
They later reunited when Fabregas, who has since retired from football, returned to the Blaugrana in 2011 following his incredible rise to the top in England.

Messi, meanwhile, has been married to his wife since 2017.
