Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to split from his long-time agent Jorge Mendes following his controversial interview with Piers Morgan and subsequent big-money move to Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo Reveals Which Countries He Had Offers From
On Tuesday night, the 37-year-old forward was unveiled by Al Nassr after agreeing to a world-record contract that will make him football's best-paid player in history.
Thousands turned out to welcome the former Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United superstar to the Saudi Pro League, but tensions appear to be high behind the scenes in Ronaldo's camp.
According to Italian outlet Sport Italia, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is set to part ways with long-time representative Mendes, who did not approve his client's decision to sit down with British broadcaster Piers Morgan for an interview late last year.

In his on-air discussion with Morgan, Ronaldo lambasted his then-manager Erik ten Hag and United's owners, while he also claimed to have several offers from around the world as he sought to cut ties with the Red Devils.
As a result of his actions, the Portuguese and United agreed to have his deal mutually terminated just days before the experienced No. 7's 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign got underway in the Middle East.
It is believed that Ronaldo's relationship with Mendes began to sour in the lead-up to his switch to Al Nassr, with it since being reported that the pair are on the brink of ending their professional association.
This week, The Athletic reported that Ronaldo's friend, Ricardo Regufe, was the man who negotiated his deal with Al Nassr, with the former Nike employee having "grown increasingly prominent" in the superstar's entourage.
