Al Nassr Head Coach Expects Ronaldo Exit

Al Nassr Head Coach Expects Ronaldo Exit

Having recently completed his blockbuster move to Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo could be leaving his new side for a different team before he retires, according to his new manager.

Real Fall Five Points Behind Barca After Dropping Points

Ronaldo's arrival in the Middle East came off the back of his controversial exit from Manchester United towards the end of 2022. The 37-year-old laid bare the issues he felt plagued the Red Devils in his now-infamous interview with Piers Morgan and, as a result, would have his contract mutually terminated with the club because of his comments.

The offers the football icon received to stay in Europe thereafter were minimal, which led to him inking a two-year deal to become the highest-paid footballer in the history of the beautiful game when he signed with Saudi Pro League giants Al Nassr.

While Ronaldo himself closed the European chapter of his playing career during his first press conference as Al Nassr's newest player, his new head coach, Rudi Garcia, has insisted that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will not finish his career with the Knights of Najd, but will instead return to Europe.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders. He is one of the best players in the world. He will not end his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe," the Frenchman said after Al Nassr's Saudi Super Cup exit at the hands of Al Ittihad, as per Sport.

Atletico Boss Claims LaLiga Referees Favour Real Madrid

The Portuguese marksman is yet to find the back of the net in a competitive match since joining his new side, having already played two games, but will be hoping to rectify that when the Saudi Pro League table-toppers take on Al Fateh in their next league outing.
