Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia has revealed what his one wish for new signing Cristiano Ronaldo is in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo's Al Nassr 'In Talks' To Sign Real Star
The 37-year-old recently completed an exciting switch to the Middle East following his free-agent departure from Manchester United ahead of Portugal's 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.
While Ronaldo's move has drawn criticism from some, the Saudi club's head coach sees this has an opportunity for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner to regain his love for football after a difficult few months.
"The only thing I wish for Ronaldo is that he rediscovers the pleasure of playing and smiles again because in recent months between Manchester United, the national team and then at a personal level he hasn't had easy moments," Garcia said, according to First Post.
"If he finds the pleasure of playing again, that will already be a goal achieved."
In England, a lack of playing time saw the ex-Real Madrid and Juventus forward target United manager Erik ten Hag in a public interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo accused of the Dutchman of failing to respect him, before joining up with his international colleagues in Qatar where he eventually lost his place in the starting XI as Portugal progressed from the group stage.
The famous No. 7 scored just one goal at the tournament in the Middle East, a penalty in A Selecao's 3-2 victory over Ghana in their opening match.
