The ramifications of the Sancho saga have seemingly had an adverse effect on the United squad as, according to the Daily Mail, the unity that existed in the team last year does not appear to be as evident and the situation involving the Englishman has not helped.

This was said to have been sparked by the Dutchman's refusal to bring the Lens native on against Manchester City last month, something the defender was unhappy about and expressed in a frank conversation after the 3-0 defeat.
Since Jonny Evans started against the treble winners, the Northern Irishman has been Harry Maguire's main partner in central defence while Varane has been relegated to a bench role, having been used as a substitute on two occasions since in the league.
The ex-France international is also believed to be the subject of interest from Bayern Munich, and although the record Bundesliga winners have reservations over his wages, the same report claims that it is likely Varane will leave at the end of the season.
