According to Sky Germany, the Red Devils have identified Eintracht Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface as key targets for the upcoming transfer window.
United are keen to provide new manager Ruben Amorim with the best possible squad to help turn around their disappointing start to the season.
Both forwards are tied down to long-term contracts with their respective clubs, meaning Manchester United will need to dig deep into their pockets to secure their signatures in January.
The report suggests that Frankfurt are likely to set a price tag close to €60 million (R1.1 billion) for Marmoush.
Furthermore, with Liverpool also reportedly interested in the Egyptian forward, United could find themselves in a bidding war, which could drive the price even higher.
Marmoush has been in incredible form this season in Germany, having contributed to an impressive 24 goals in just 17 appearances this season.
When it comes to Boniface, Leverkusen are said to highly value the Nigerian and could demand a significant fee should United attempt to prise him away in the new year.

The Nigerian forward has netted 29 times and assisted 11 more goals in 49 games since joining the German side last year.
