According to the Daily Mail, Serie A giants Lazio are involved in talks to land the 22-year-old's signature after his loan move at Getafe ended at the conclusion of this past season.
It has been said that Lazio have initiated discussions with the Red Devils to steal a march on other potential suitors, although their interest in Greenwood has been held for a long time.
The Italian giants were believed to have moved to secure the one-time England international's signature at the start of the previous campaign before the player joined Getafe on loan.
In Spain, Greenwood contributed to 16 goals in 36 matches across all competitions as he attracted reported interest from giant clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
Juventus have also been linked with the forward, who returned to football in 2023 after being arrested on suspicion of attempted rape in January 2022.
Antonio Conte's Napoli have also recently emerged as candidates to sign Greenwood, as well as teams in Germany and Portugal.
