The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a move Paris Saint-Germain in recent seasons, but reports suggest he is now close to penning a new five-year contract with his boyhood club.
Rashford proved key to United's top four hopes this past campaign as he contributed to an impressive 41 goals in 56 appearances across all competitions.
According to The Athletic, with his current deal in England set to expire in 2024, his importance to the side has seen the club accelerate talks over new terms that will see him remain in Manchester until 2028.
While the England international's current contract sees him earn £250 000 (R5.8 million) a week, Rashford is expected to become one of the Premier League's best-paid stars on weekly earnings of £375 000 (R8.8 million).
It is reported that only Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah will be paid more handsomely than Rashford, who has been capped on 53 occasions for his country since his international debut in 2016.
