The 31-year-old's deal at Juventus was terminated last week Friday after his doping ban was significantly reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
While Pogba said he would be willing accept a pay cut to continue at the Bianconeri, the club and its technical team had other plans.
A number of teams around the world have been linked with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, but rumours of a potential return to United appear off the mark.
Romano claims Pogba is currently training in Miami to prepare for when he will be cleared to resume his career in March next year.
Teams in Saudi Arabia, the United States and England are said to have expressed an interest in the 91-time France international.
