Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping tabs on a Manchester United striker as they eye a replacement for Edinson Cavani, with initial contact said to have already been made.
The French giants recently progressed to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after a dramatic 2-1 win over Atalanta on Wednesday.
The Ligue 1 champions are said to be interested in Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo, who is currently on loan at Old Trafford from Shanghai Shenhua.
Ighalo, who scored 46 goals in 74 games during his time in China, has had a decent showing so far with the Red Devils, scoring five times and assisting one strike in only 599 minutes, according to the Daily Express.
United secured an extension on Ighalo's initial loan due to the suspension of leagues around the globe earlier this year, and his current spell at the Theatre of Dreams is set to end on 30 January 2021.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not made any official comment on potentially making the deal a permanent one, and there are now reports suggesting that PSG are monitoring the situation.
Cavani has already left PSG as a free agent, with indications being that he will head to Benfica, and German publication Fussballtransfers has claimed that Les Parisiens are already working on a deal to lure Ighalo to Paris, while Footmercato has had confirmation of the same from Jean-Willy Ngoma, who is one of the player's representatives.
A permanent contract is certainly not off the table at United too, with Solskjaer having stated in February that the ball is in Ighalo's court.
"It's a loan, but when you're in the door and if you impress, it gives you a chance," the Norwegian said.
