The Red Devils, who have been trying to get Alexis Sanchez, who was understood to earn £450 000 (R10 million) per week, including bonuses, off their wage bill for a while, have now sold him permanently.

Both Ole Gunner Solskjaer and Inter CEO Beppe Marotta spoke about the imminent deal on Wednesday night, with the latter saying that Sanchez has agreed to a three-year deal.

The only aspect missing was an official announcement from both clubs, but Sanchez's transfer has now been confirmed.

The Chilean spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at the Serie A side, scoring four goals and assisting another 10 strikes in 30 appearances.
