Manchester United have reportedly drawn up a three-man shortlist as manager Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen his squad in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Amorim is particularly focused on bolstering his defence, with a special emphasis on the left-back position.
Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have struggled to maintain their fitness over the past year at United, leaving Diogo Dalot to cover the role.
Among the names on United's radar are Wolves' Rayan Ait-Nouri, Chelsea's Ben Chilwell and young Benfica talent Alvaro Carreras.
At the top of United's wishlist is Ait-Nouri, the highly-rated Algerian left-back currently impressing at Wolves. The 22-year-old's consistent performances have caught the eye of several top clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool.
However, Wolves are reportedly reluctant to let him go, though their stance could be tested should a substantial offer come in.
Chilwell, despite being a mainstay in the England squad, has also emerged as a possible target for United. The Chelsea defender has found himself out of favour under new manager Enzo Maresca, with Marc Cucurella and Renato Veiga both excelling in the left-back role.
If Chelsea decides to part ways with the 26-year-old, they could expect a significant transfer fee, as Chilwell is under contract until 2027.
Carreras, meanwhile, came through United's academy but battled to establish himself in the senior group before his transfer to Benfica earlier this year.
