With Mason Greenwood having not played football in over a year, here is how much Manchester United have reportedly been paying the striker every week.
Man Utd Transfer News: Five Out, Four In?
The one-time England international was arrested in January last year after he was accused of rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and abuse by a woman in England.
Greenwood was immediately suspended by the club as the police launched an investigation until the charges were eventually dropped earlier this month, leading to questions surrounding his future.
In response to Greater Manchester Police's decision to discontinue the case against the striker, the Red Devils said they would be conducting an internal investigation, with the 21-year-old not expected to feature for the club before the end of the season.
Rumours suggest that United will consult leadership groups within their men's and women's teams before coming to a verdict on whether or not Greenwood will be reintroduced to the first team.
Meanwhile, the club has reportedly been contractually obliged to continue paying the player his weekly wages, which, according to Spotrac, is about £75 000 (R1.6 million).
Greenwood's deal at the 20-time English champions expires in June 2025, with the termination of his contract still a possibility despite the dropping of the criminal charges he previously faced.
Surprise European Club 'Want' Greenwood
It is thought that United could also sell their youth academy product, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce having been linked with the left-footed attacker.
