Banished first-team star Mason Greenwood has reportedly decided to leave Manchester United ahead of his potential return to football.

Since being arrested in January 2022, the one-time England international is yet to have made an appearance for the Red Devils.
Greenwood, 21, saw the charges that were levelled against him dropped earlier this year, with reports suggesting United would consider reintroducing him to the squad.
However, that will not be before the club has finished its internal investigation into the incident, as confirmed by the 20-time English champions in February.
The Athletic has since reported that United would allow Greenwood to return to the team if he green-lights a TV interview and sees a therapist, but the player could take a different approach.
It is claimed by CaughtOffside that the striker believes it might be best to leave England, amid rumours AC Milan are interested in his signature.

The Italian giants are reportedly weighing up a move for Greenwood as they step up their search for a young forward to help reduce their reliance on ageing players Olivier Giroud (36) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (41).
