Following the completion of their first signing of this transfer window on Wednesday, Manchester United seem to have picked up the pace and have reportedly tabled an offer for a Real Madrid defender.
The Red Devils are looking to strengthen at left-back, with Luke Shaw's fitness issues having left coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to rely heavily on young star Brandon Williams.
According to AS, United have now tabled a bid for Sergio Reguilon, who impressed on loan at Sevilla last season.
The Spaniard finds himself behind Ferland Mendy and Marcelo in the left-back pecking order at Real, with manager Zinedine Zidane reportedly not convinced the 23-year-old can dislodge the two players in front of him.
The fullback helped Sevilla win the UEFA Europa League last season, and is in contention to make his full international debut for Spain in his country's upcoming 2020/21 UEFA Nations League matches.
United pose a tempting offer for Reguilon, with UEFA Champions League football on the cards, but AS has claimed that Real may look at including a buyback option in the deal, as they did previously with Alvaro Morata.
Despite Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli having been linked with Reguilon, United and Sevilla are said to be the frontrunners for his signature. The LaLiga club, however, would reportedly look to take the player on loan once again.
