The Englishman has been strongly linked with a move away from the Villans in recent months, but any potential deal appeared to be off with United going after their top target in Borussia Dortmund's Sancho.

According to the Daily Mail, United would be willing to offer goalkeeper Sergio Romero as part of a swap deal for Grealish, who would still command a big transfer fee.
Reports have suggested that Villa would like to get as much as £70 million (R1.5 billion) for their No. 10 if they sell him, and United now appear to be trying to come up with a smart way of lowering that figure.
