Manchester United have reportedly made a shock decision on club captain Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes was linked with a departure just before the end of the 2023/2024 season, with reports suggesting he wanted to join another club to compete for major honours.
Reports in Germany claimed that Bayern Munich were keen on the Portugal international, while teams in the Saudi Pro League are also said to be keen.

According to TEAMtalk, the Red Devils have reportedly given Fernandes the green light to engage in talks with teams in Saudi Arabia.
The reports claim the initial interest from Saudi Arabia emerged in 2023, with the emerging league looking to bring in more high-profile names for the upcoming campaign.
TEAMtalk added that Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr and Al Ittihad are the two Saudi sides to have shown interest in Fernandes
However, the Portuguese midfielder did say the club wanted him to stay back in May.

"I feel that the club wants me to be a part of the future, so, as I said always, I don't want to be a player that the club doesn't want to have," Fernandes told Sky Sports.
"If for some reason they don't want to have me, I will go, but if they want me I will stay."
Fernandes has been with the Red Devils since 2020 and has gone on to 79 goals and 66 assists in 233 appearances while winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
