The 20-time English champions are said to be nearing an official announcement of their first acquisition for the upcoming campaign, after reportedly reaching an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam over the sale of Donny van de Beek.
It was reported on Saturday that the Dutchman had informed his teammates he was on his way to United, despite being heavily linked with Ronald Koeman's FC Barcelona too.
Van de Beek was left out of Ajax's friendly match on the weekend, after which manager Erik ten Hag admitted the player was allowed time away from the pitch to sort out his future.
Now, Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that all terms between Ajax and United have been agreed, and that the player will undergo a medical at the club this week.
