Man Utd Star 'Wants' Out After Only Four Months

A Manchester United star, who joined the club at the start of the season, reportedly already wants to leave the club after only four months in England.

Striker Joshua Zirkzee has reportedly instructed his agents to seek a move away from Old Trafford in the upcoming January transfer window, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

The Dutch forward was brought in to provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund in attack. However, it has been a challenging start to life in the Premier League for the 23-year-old, who has struggled to make an impact.

With the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim, Zirkzee's future has become uncertain despite only joining a few months ago under the reign of Erik ten Hag. The prospect of a January exit is now a real possibility, with a potential return to Italy being discussed.

Reports suggest that Zirkzee has instructed his representatives to find him a new club, with Calcio Mercato claiming that the striker would be open to reuniting with former manager Thiago Motta.

Motta, who took charge of Juventus earlier this year, could potentially target Zirkzee for the Italian giants, who are rumoured to be in the market for a new centre-forward.

Italian newspaper La Stampa has also claimed that Zirkzee is eager to leave United, having struggled to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.

His connection with Motta, from their time together at Bologna, makes a move to Juventus an intriguing possibility. However, Calcio Mercato reports that Juventus would only be interested in a loan deal, rather than a permanent transfer, should they pursue the Dutchman.

As the January window approaches, it remains to be seen whether United would be willing to part ways with Zirkzee after his underwhelming start.

A loan move could prove to be a beneficial solution for all parties involved, allowing the striker much-needed game time to rebuild his confidence and form. With the winter window fast approaching, Zirkzee's situation at United will be one to watch.
