Despite Erik ten Hag's dismissal in October, it appears Denmark international Christen Eriksen is still likely to bid farewell to Old Trafford next year.
The experienced midfielder became frustrated with his lack of opportunities under the Dutchman, but had been rewarded for his fine form with more starts this term leading up to Ten Hag's departure.
Eriksen, 32, will see his current deal in England expire come the end of this season, with the former Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan man expected to move on as a free agent.
This is according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who says no negotiations are taking place over a new contract for the Dane.
The Italian claims that new manager Ruben Amorim's thoughts on Eriksen will be taken into consideration, though it is still likely he leaves in June 2025.
Since arriving at United in 2022, Eriksen has contributed to 23 goals in 85 appearances across all competitions.
