According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are set to land the signature of 17-year-old left-back Diego Leon.
The Paraguayan currently plays his football for Cerro Porteno in his homeland, where he has impressed despite his young age.
It is claimed Leon will join the 20-time English champions in July next year for an initial fee of €4 million (R74.6 million).
The fee could eventually rise to €8.5 million (R158.5 million) in total in add-ons and player/team bonuses.
With a verbal agreement believed to be reached, Leon is expected to be the club's first signing under Amorim.
