With Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho seemingly inching closer to a Manchester United move, the German giants have reportedly set their sights on Dutch star Memphis Depay as an immediate replacement.
Depay, 26, has become one of Ligue 1's top performers since making the move to Olympique Lyon in January 2017, following a dismal season and a half at Old Trafford under the mentorship of Louis van Gaal.
The tricky winger has regained his form and confidence in eastern France, having scored 53 goals and registered 43 assists in 134 appearances for the club.
And in a season in which he suffered a cruciate ligament tear three months before the coronavirus lockdown, he still managed to contribute to 16 goals (14 strikes of his own and two assists) in 18 appearances.
According to Bild, the former PSV Eindhoven star will cost BVB in the region of €44 million (R880million), despite only having one year left on his current deal, with the French club looking to cash in on one of their main attacking threats.

Still injured, Depay is unlikely to play in the second leg of Lyon's UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Serie A champions Juventus in Turin on 7 August, in which they hold a 1-0 lead.
