Reports suggest one-time England international Mason Greenwood could be handed a major boost over his future at Manchester United when he returns from loan later this year.

Former club chief Richard Arnold ultimately chose to send the 22-year-old out on loan for the 2023/24 campaign, despite reports claiming he had initially planned to reintroduce the forward following a lengthy absence.
Greenwood was given a club ban following his arrest in 2022, but had his charges dropped last year and has since returned to football.
While officials at the Red Devils were believed to decide Greenwood would not play for the 20-time English champions again after he agreed to join Getafe on loan, it is believed that could potentially change.
According to Fabrizio Romano, new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will leave the forward's future in the hands of whomever he appoints as the sporting director ahead of the coming campaign.
The same goes for Jadon Sancho, who returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan earlier this month after a public fallout with Dutch manager Erik ten Hag.
It was confirmed Ratcliffe's buying of a 29% stake of United was successful and that the British billionaire, who is the CEO of energy company INEOS, will begin his role in February.
