Reports in England suggest England international Harry Maguire will no longer be United's leader ahead of the 2023/24 campaign after he lost in his place in the starting XI this past season.
Maguire started just eight of United's 38 league matches last term, and seems to be surplus to requirements if rumours are to be believed.
Clubs such as Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the 30-year-old centre-back, who is still the world's most expensive defender following his €87 million (R1.8 billion) arrival from Leicester City in 2019.
The Sun claims Maguire will lose the captain's armband as a result of his current status in the squad and could be set to be replaced by Bruno Fernandes.
