Big Development In 'Jadon Sancho To Manchester United' Transfer Saga?

There has seemingly been a breakthrough in Jadon Sancho's potential transfer to Manchester United, with the Borussia Dortmund sensation expected to become the Premier League club's most expensive signing ever.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants to add Sancho to his squad and has told the club's chiefs to make the move happen sooner rather than later.

United, though, cannot meet BVB's massive €120 million (R2.4 billion) asking price outright due the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and have offered to pay the fee in instalments.

According to Bild, United are offering to pay €70 million (R1.4 billion) in 2020, plus another €30 million (R608 million) in 2021 and the final instalment of €20 million (R405 million) in 2022.

Dortmund are said to be interested in such a deal, the structure of which is similar to the one that saw Ousmane Dembele join FC Barcelona for a reported fee of €135 million (R2.7 billion) in 2017.

The Bundesliga side, though, have set the EPL club a deadline of 10 August, when they start their training camp ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, and want the transfer completed by then.

Sancho himself seems keen to move back to England, and the 20-year-old would become United's most expensive signing in history if it goes through at the abovementioned cost.

He scored 20 goals and assisted another 20 strikes in 44 appearances for the Bundesliga side in the 2019/20 campaign.
