Ghana disappointingly went out of the World Cup at the group stage after finishing at the bottom of Group H.
Despite their early exit, though, attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus proved a shining light for Otto Addo's side as he left the Gulf with two goals and an assist.
It seems his performances at the global showpiece have garnered the attention of his former manager Erik ten Hag.
The 22-year-old played 43 times under the Dutchman when he was in charge of Ajax Amsterdam, and the Accra native has only gone from strength to strength since Ten Hag moved to Old Trafford.
The attacker has scored 10 goals in 21 matches for the champions of the Netherlands so far for Ajax in this campaign, and with the Red Devils having recently mutually parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo and his £500 000 (R10.5 million) wages, it is likely they will have some money to spend during the January window to reinforce their forward line.
According to The Athletic, Kudus will cost any willing buyer £45 million, and Ten Hag is a big admirer.
