An African star has reportedly been arrested in Paris following an altercation with police officers on Sunday.
According to several French media outlets, Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier has been placed in custody after insulting officers following a night out on the town.
It is understood that Aurier was out with a group of friends near the Champs-Elysees when the altercation occurred.
The Ivory Coast star has been accused of provoking minor violence and verbally abusing an officer of the law.
PSG officials have said the club will wait for further information before making any comment on the reported incident as it did not take place during a competition period.
The 23-year-old was suspended for six weeks by the club earlier this year after a video emerged on social media showing him making derogatory comments about manager Laurent Blanc and some of his teammates.
