French champions Paris Saint-Germain have sacked title-winning manager Laurent Blanc after three seasons.

The Frenchman led the Paris club to three Ligue 1 titles, among other silverware, but failed to guide them past the quarter-final stage of the UEFA Champions League.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wished Blanc all the best in his future endeavours, and thanked him for the success he brought to the club.
"As we embark on a new chapter in the development of the club, I would like to thank Laurent Blanc for everything he has achieved over the last three years, both in terms of the playing style and results, I wish him the best for his future challenges," he said on the club's official website.
Sevilla boss Unai Emery is expected to succeed Blanc as the club's new manager in the coming days.

The 44-year-old has won three UEFA Europa League titles in his time with the Spanish side, and will be expected to help guide the French giants to at least the semi-finals of the Champions League next season.
