Ligue 1 Report: PSG 6-0 Caen 16 April 2016

Ligue 1 Result: PSG 6-0 Caen Date: 16 April 2016 Venue: Parc les Princes French champions Paris Saint-Germain hammered Caen 6-0 in their Ligue 1 clash on Saturday. The hosts opened the scoring in the 12th minute as Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted his 31st goal of the season. A mistake by Yahia gave the Swede the chance to smash home a shot from 25 yards out. There were many chances for Caen to get themselves back to level pegging in the first half, but they were wasteful in front of goal and paid for it as PSG doubled their lead just before the break. Good build-up play from PSG created the chance for Blaise Matuidi on the stroke of half-time and he fired home after the ball was squared by Ibrahimovic. PSG were three goals clear four minutes into the second half. Adeoti missed a simple clearance, allowing Edinson Cavani to score the third from close range. The result was put to thoroughly to bed a few minutes later as Angel di Maria made it 4-0. The Argentine ran at the Caen defence and lifted the ball over the goalkeeper with a deft touch. The goals kept coming as Ibrahimovic completed his brace just shy of the hour mark. Ibra got on the end of Kurzawa's cross and netted it with a first-time shot into the back of the net. A sixth goal arrived in the 76th minute when Ongenda found Cavani and he played a low cross towards Maxwell who beat the goalkeeper at his near post.
