Report: Zinedine Zidane To Leave Real Madrid, Replacement Found!

Report: Zinedine Zidane To Leave Real Madrid, Replacement Found!

Real Madrid are reportedly set to announce Zinedine Zidane's departure next week, and have already found his replacement.

The French tactician confirmed after the final LaLiga game of the 2020/21 season on the weekend that he was set to sit down with the club this week to discuss his future amid reports of a departure.

Zidane still has another year left on his contract with Los Blancos, but Spanish outlet El Partidazo de COPE has now reported that the former Real midfielder will once again leave the Santiago Bernabeu, with ex-Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri set to come in as his replacement.

Allegri won five Serie A titles while in charge of Juve, and guided the Serie A club to the Champions League final on two occasions.

The Italian tactician has not been involved in management since 2019, when he exited the Bianconeri, but is reportedly keen to return to the dugout, with Madrid believed to be his ideal destination.

There were reports that Tottenham Hotspur were looking to bring in Allegri as Jose Mourinho's permanent successor, but the 53-year-old is said to have snubbed the Premier League outfit in favour of Los Blancos.
